The Chinese Basketball Association Commission will further unify the criteria and standards for the CBA league.

Xinhua News Agency reported that with the end of the first two rounds of the regular season of the Chinese men’s basketball professional league (CBA) in the 2022-2023 season, all CBA referees held a summary meeting on the 15th, referee lecturer Ma Lijun analyzed the battle cases in four aspects on behalf of the Chinese Basketball Association Commission to further unify the criteria and standards of league performance.

On the same day, the Commission pointed out some high-quality sentences and non-sentences that the referee team needed to maintain in the first two rounds, including the judgment of defense invading the attacking cylinder, not the clean cut ball, the contact that did not cause influence, the inevitable contact in the fight and the body deformation of the attacking player forged foul. At the same time, it also points out the obvious violation and foul of missed judgment in the first two rounds, including the contact with the wrist of the ball holder and the contact between the head and legs when cutting the ball.

In addition, the Commission has made clear the circumstances that must be pronounced and that minor contact should not be punished. The cases that must be pronounced include illegal use of hands to make profits, blocking during breakthrough, and serious fall to the ground. Minor contact should not be punished, including slipping when breaking through, physical contact after cap, and contact without affecting the dunk action.

Finally, the Commission stressed that the on-site referee must strictly use standard procedures to operate when starting instant playback to ensure the consistency of operations.
