Tate sprained his right ankle twice during preseason, once in training and once in the match with the heat. When asked about the recovery situation, Tate said: “The recovery process is very smooth, and the training team has done a great job in helping me recover. Our current idea is to ensure that this kind of thing will not happen again in the new season. We have made a plan and will follow it.”
“There are some things I have to prove that I have the ability to do, and the important thing is that I make progress every day.” Tate continued, “This is absolutely frustrating. I hate to sit on the bench, but I want to thank the team’s coaching staff, Raphael (rocket general manager stone) and my teammates, they have always accompanied me. They knew that I was nervous and let me know that I needed to deal with it so that the injury would not affect me all the time.”
During the 2021-22 regular season, Tate played an average of 11.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
