Rubio was born in El masno, Barcelona, Spain on October 21, 1990. In the NBA draft in 2009, he was selected by the Timberwolves in the fifth order in the first round. Due to the contract problem with his mother Team, it was not until the 2011-12 season that he officially joined Timberwolves, during which he won the European league championship in 2010. In 2012, Rubio was selected into the NBA Rookie of the year award lineup for a while. Then he went to jazz, Sun, Knight and Walker, and finally returned to Knight in 2022.
Since NBA career, Rubio has played 665 games, averaging 30.3 minutes, scoring 11.1 points 4.2 rebounds 7.6 assists 1.8 steals.
In terms of national team, Rubio won the men’s basketball World Cup Championship with Spain in September 2019. He also won the most valuable player in the final and the most valuable player in the World Cup and was selected as the best team in the World Cup.
