Live Bar, October 29 news recently, The Clippers coach Tyron Lu talked about rivers in The Old Man & The Three program.
Lu said: “In my first year on the Clippers, my responsibility was to defend. That summer, Doug (Rivers) let me watch all the Western playoff teams, and he asked me to write down the offensive methods of each playoff team. I was writing this brochure all summer. I didn’t have time to do anything else. I was doing it every day.
“Later, the training camp began. I handed this brochure to Doug. He never opened it (hahaha) and hasn’t read it until now. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it has prepared me for the team’s defense.”
In the 2019-20 season, Lu became the chief assistant professor of rivers; In the 2020-21 season, Lu became the coach of the Clippers.
