On October 16, the “Wynn Cup” Big Bay Area three-person basketball tour Big Bay Area group competition officially ended in Macao, China. In the final final, the last champion Dongguan team defeated Dafeng Australian elite 18-9 and successfully defended the title.
Since early June this year, several sub-station preliminary matches have been held in this competition. The top eight teams of each sub-station competed in Macao, the division of the finals. Since October 10, the event has staged a wonderful duel for seven days in front of the famous scenic spot of Macao, such as the Mauge Temple and the third bus Memorial Hall, showing the vitality and passion of street basketball to the visitors and citizens watching the event.
In the last competition, the Dongguan team pressed the crowd to win the championship trophy and won a prize of 100000 patacas. In this competition, the team divided into two ways. First, the Guangdong Changlong team composed of Huang Wenwei, Zeng Bingqiang, Zhan Yusen and Liu kangneng defeated Dafeng Aoke Jingying 17-16 in the final and won the champion of The Open Group.
In the Big Bay Area group competition, the Dongguan team composed of Xiao Hailiang, Chen Guohao, Lu Jianhao and Zhou Zeyuan passed the final all the way, and the opponent was still Dafeng Australian elite. After the start of the game, the two sides fell into a tug-of-war, and you came and played extremely lively. As the competition went on, the confrontation became more intense. When the two teams reached 6 levels, Dongguan team took the lead in making efforts to continuously impact opponents by using breakthroughs, laying a leading edge of 3 points at one stroke.
Under the positive pressure of Dongguan team, Dafeng Aoke elite’s defense began to loosen, and key players were missed many times. It was by taking advantage of the slack of the opponent that the Dongguan team gradually split the points and finally won the game 18-9.
As for winning the cup in Macao again, Xiao Hailiang, a member of Dongguan team, said: “Compared with the previous session, the overall level of this year’s competition has been greatly improved, it is very meaningful for us to communicate with players from all over the world. We hope more teenagers who like basketball can participate in the competition.”
Pan Yongquan, director of Macao Sports Bureau, said in an interview: “We hope to promote tourism through sports so that more friends can have better exchanges. We have met our expectations in this three-person basketball game in the Great Bay Area and the game is very popular. When friends from Dawan district came to Macao, they could feel the good atmosphere of competition and the development of Macao sports. I hope that through the platform of sports, we can do more and better.”
