Speaking of Curry’s performance, Cole said: “Apart from a few mistakes that should not be made, I think this is the best game we have played at both ends of attack and defense. Of course, Curry is amazing. His performance is incredible and better than anyone else.”
When talking about Curry’s intention to pass the ball to Clay (four of Clay’s six goals came from Curry assists), Cole said: “Curry has been taking the game seriously and wants to see his teammates play well. He always considers his teammates.”
Curry played for 36 minutes, made 13 of 22 shots, 7 of 14 of 3-point goals, and contributed 33 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Clay played for 29 minutes, shooting 6 in 19, 5 in 14 in 3, 2 in 2 free throws, scoring 19 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist, plus or minus +7.
